Can you use a circular saw as a track saw?
There can be splinters and tear out along the cut from a circular saw. Circular saws can be used in the same way as track saws. You can use saws that don’t have their tracks on them. Extra long cuts can be made with track extensions.

A plunge saw is unlike a circular saw in that it has a blade that spins and cuts. The blade is exposed when plunging the handle to the pre-set depth, rather than being exposed when the guard is pulled.
Can I use track saw without track?
All of the saws are able to be used without a track. They will get straight cuts if they are guided with a track. The saw straddles a raised rib that keeps a straight cutting line, and rubber grip strips on the bottom prevent the track from moving during a cut.
Is Kreg Accucut worth?
